How to clip live streams and get paid
Turn the best moments on Rivos into short clips. When signed-in viewers watch them, you earn real money — no invite needed.
Step 1
Find a live stream
Browse the Livestreams tab, check the Live Now section on the homepage, or open any channel that is currently live. Only live streams can be clipped.
Step 2
Submit a clip
Click the Clip button on the channel page or use the Submit a clip panel in your clipper dashboard. Choose a title and how far back to capture — from 15 seconds up to 2 minutes.
Step 3
Earn on qualified views
Once fans watch your clip, qualified views roll in. You keep 85% of the clip's earnings and payouts are sent automatically via PayPal once you hit $25.
Finding live streams
Clips are only created from live broadcasts. You can find them in three places:
- 1Homepage Live Now: the first section on rivos.live shows every channel that is currently broadcasting.
- 2Browse Livestreams: open /browse and select the Livestreams tab to filter by category, language, or viewer count.
- 3Category pages: pick a category you like and every live channel in that category will be listed.
What you earn
Prorated per view — under 1,000 views still pays. 500 views = $2.50, 100 views = $0.50.
Payouts are processed automatically at the start of each month via PayPal. You can update your payout email anytime in your clipper dashboard.
What counts as a qualified view?
Not every play is a qualified view. We measure real engagement so streamers and clippers get paid fairly.
Signed-in viewers only
A viewer must be logged into Rivos for their watch time to count toward qualified views.
Real watch time
We track how long each viewer actually watches. A view qualifies once they watch at least half the clip, with a minimum of 5 seconds and a maximum of 30 seconds required.
One view per viewer per day
Each viewer can only contribute one qualified view per clip per calendar day, even if they replay it.
No creator or anonymous views
Views from the streamer themselves, anonymous guests, or simulated traffic do not qualify.
