1. Our position on copyright
Rivos respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects everyone who uses the platform to do the same. Only stream, upload or clip content you own or have permission to use. We respond to valid notices of alleged copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (DMCA) and comparable laws.
2. Submitting a takedown notice
If you believe content on Rivos infringes your copyright, send a written notice to legal@rivos.live with the subject line "DMCA Takedown". Your notice must include all of the following:
- Your physical or electronic signature, as the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf.
- Identification of the copyrighted work you claim has been infringed.
- The exact location of the material on Rivos — a channel URL, clip URL, timestamp or message so we can find it.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address.
- A statement that you have a good faith belief that the use is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information in your notice is accurate and that you are the copyright owner or authorized to act on their behalf.
Incomplete notices may delay our response. Knowingly submitting a false claim can expose you to liability for damages.
3. What we do after a valid notice
When we receive a complete notice, we may remove or disable access to the reported content, end a live stream, delete clips or restrict the channel. We notify the affected creator and pass along the substance of the notice, including the claimant's contact information, so they can respond.
4. Counter-notice
If your content was removed and you believe that was a mistake or misidentification, you may send a counter-notice to legal@rivos.live with the subject line "DMCA Counter-Notice", including:
- Your physical or electronic signature.
- Identification of the removed material and where it appeared before removal.
- A statement, under penalty of perjury, that you have a good faith belief the material was removed as a result of mistake or misidentification.
- Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address, plus consent to the jurisdiction of the courts where you reside (or, if outside the United States, any judicial district where Rivos may be found) and to accept service of process from the claimant.
If the claimant does not file a court action within 10 to 14 business days, we may restore the removed content.
5. Repeat infringers
Rivos maintains a repeat infringer policy. Channels that accumulate multiple valid copyright strikes may lose monetization, be suspended, or be permanently terminated. Attempting to evade a strike by re-uploading removed content, using an alternate account, or masking a stream is treated as a serious violation.
6. Music, games and third-party content
Playing copyrighted music, movies, TV, sports broadcasts or other third-party media on stream can trigger a claim even when it is background audio. Use licensed or royalty-free music, respect publisher and developer guidelines for game content, and secure permission before rebroadcasting someone else's stream.
7. Trademark and other claims
For trademark, impersonation or publicity-rights complaints, email legal@rivos.live describing the mark or identity at issue, your rights in it, and the Rivos content you are reporting.
